The next medal for Bangladesh came in their fourth Games, Manchester in 2002, with yet another gold in shooting, and a silver from the same sport came in Melbourne in 2006 and Glasgow 2014.
The organisation of the Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games teams in the capital Dhaka sits with the Bangladesh National Olympic Committee, which was first formed in 1979 and formally recognised during 1980.
