The vision of the CGF is, 'Our Commonwealth, united through sport'. The Commonwealth United Strategy 2023-2034, is underpinned by the values of ‘Humanity, Equality and Destiny’.  The latest ten year strategy builds on 'Transformation 2022' and seeks to articulate our values to our partners and stakeholders.

One of the key strategic priorities is to 'Advocate for and supporting the values and causes we believe in'. To meet this priority CGF will:

  • Raise awareness of causes focused on equality in sport - racial inequality, people with disabilities, indigenous peoples, women and girls, LGBTQ+ community, and young people
  • Demonstrate leadership in protecting and promoting safe, fair, clean, accessible and sustainable sport
  • Advocate for the power of sport to advance the Commonwealth Charter – recognising historical injustices

The Human Rights Statement created in 2017, and updated in 2022, represents the CGFs commitment to embed human rights within our governance, management systems, development, events, fundraising and marketing.
