The Turks and Caicos Islands are a UK overseas territory and form the southern tip of the Bahamas chain in the north of the Caribbean region. Their nearest neighbour to the south is the Dominican Republic.

Having made their debut in the 1978 Commonwealth Games in Edmonton the islands returned to the Games arena in 1998 and since then have established themselves as an integral part of the Games Family. They competed in the Athletics and Weightlifting competitions at Glasgow 2014. Their women won a Bronze Medal in the Beach Football at the Bahamas 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games.

The Turks and Caicos Commonwealth Games Association (TCICGA) organises the island's participation in the Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games.
